This year a record 40 members responded and it again demonstrates a huge variation in the levels of hire fees reported by members.

This is of course a reflection of different facilities being offered as well as the willingness of hirers to pay the charges.

A very important part of the income all our members earn comes from hiring out their facilities to, mainly, local users.  In 2013 we published our second survey of hire charges . Since then we have repeated in 2018 and 2023.

The main message is that although there have been increases in hire fees between 2013 and 2023, the facilities offered have improved substantially and the rises are significantly below the rate of inflation. The conclusion must be that halls continue to offer amazing value!
